The suspense ends here… We are thrilled to announce the Project Manager of the Year 2025.

The Project Manager of the Year award recognizes exceptional project managers who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and real-world impact across industries. As a consulting firm with over two decades of experience in project, program, and portfolio management, threon collaborates daily with project managers who make a real difference, often behind the scenes. With this initiative, we aim to give them the recognition they deserve.

During this competition, we had 10 excellent candidates, there were over 1000 votes cast and our threon jury had to make tough choices, but there can only be 1 winner.
We surprised the Project Manager of the Year on the spot.

About the winning project

Federico led the Complex Drug Development project at Agomab, a high-stakes initiative defined by scientific uncertainty, frequent scope changes, and the challenge of introducing agility into a traditionally structured environment.

By combining agile principles with a solid waterfall framework, Federico enabled his team to stay flexible while maintaining control over timelines, budgets, and decision points. His leadership brought structure, clarity, and alignment across scientific, operational, and management teams, ensuring the project advanced steadily despite constant change.

The project directly supported Agomab’s strategic objectives, advancing a critical development programme where effective project management was key to ensuring focus and progress.

Looking ahead

The Project Manager of the Year award will return next year, continuing to celebrate the individuals who bring structure, direction, and inspiration to their organisations.
