Threon’s 24-hour ultra marathon: 172 kilometers for charity!

Threon, joined by customers, friends, and family, achieved an incredible milestone on December 22 and 23, 2024, completing a 24-hour Ultra Marathon covering 172 kilometers! The challenge was part of the Triple Challenge’s Warmste Ultra Marathon, an initiative that combines athletic effort with meaningful support for two causes: De Warmste Week and the Triple Challenge, fighting against loneliness and promoting inclusivity in sports.

This remarkable event brought people together, with participants running across 17 stages and pushing specially designed wheelchairs for people who would otherwise miss the experience. Each kilometre raised funds for De Warmste Week, a longstanding charity that focuses on a different cause every year. This year’s theme was loneliness, and we are deeply grateful for the support we received from our community in helping to tackle such an important issue.

The success of this effort was thanks to the collective contributions of runners, volunteers, and supporters. Threon-toppers, customers, and their loved ones all contributed in different ways, from running and pushing a wheelchair, to cheering on participants and assisting with logistics.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made completing this challenge possible. To the runners who gave it their all, the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and the friends, family, and customers who cheered us on and donated, we couldn’t have done this without you. Your support means the world to us and to the causes we stand behind!

Together, we’ve shown that collective effort and care can create meaningful change!
