Many organizations struggle to find their optimal long-term resource capacity for the planned project portfolio. Questions like:
"How many projects can be realized with the resources available?'
"How many projects should we put on hold, if we want to increase the chances of delivering our key strategic programs?'
or "Do we have sufficient and the right resources at hand to complete all planned projects now and in the future?", often arise.
Threon developed a tool that counters the above mentioned challenges! The T-Capacity tool helps organizations possess a simple and efficient means to create understanding and facilitate decision making regarding resource allocation.
Our 5-step approach
STEP 1: DEFINING YOUR SCOPE
Together with our experts, you determine which projects, departments and resources are part of your organizational scope and need to be included in the T-Capacity calculations.
STEP 2: FINETUNE YOUR MODEL
You can count on our support in defining both your projects’ demand (project types and their parameters) as well as your resource needs (resource types and availability).
STEP 3: INPUT OF DATA
All data of both project demand and resource needs are captured in our T-Capacity interface.
STEP 4: EVALUATING RESULTS
Together we evaluate and compare project demand and resource needs. This will result in several detailed recommendations on how to match resource demand and supply.
STEP 5: REPORTING
Over the years, we have worked very hard to optimize this T-Capacity tool and to guarantee reporting of your current and future situation (via what-if scenarios), is easy to consult. T-Capacity encloses reporting possibilities in both Excel as Power BI and it's easy downloadable as an App in the Microsoft Store.
In our almost 20 years of experience in portfolio, program and project management, we collected feedback and best practices that form the basis of our T-Capacity tool.
