Course overview

Risk management is the key to success, or as Tom DeMarco puts it, “Risk management is Project Management for adults.” Risk management is a really powerful tool and is able to smooth the project execution considerably. This 2-day course develops a practical risk management approach and demonstrates the possibilities of embracing risk management and how to monitor the process of risk management. You can use this course as part of your preparation for the PMI Risk Management Professional certificate.

At the completion of the training you will be able to identify the differences between risks and operational anomalies. You learn the tools and techniques of risk management so you can return to work and become immediately effective. The risk processes are discussed in relation to the model in the PMBOK® Guide. This seminar is enriched with examples and short exercises to build skills and develop knowledge. The course is designed to help practitioners embrace the methods as well as to effectively measure the success of the approach used.
